Tonight for FHE we raked the beautiful fall leaves, played in the pile, and then came in to carve pumpkins. We haven't carved Jack-o-lanterns for several years and even the boys weren't sure what to expect. They were absolutely horrified when I opened up the tops, rolled up their sleeves, and told them to start scooping out guts. So, the kids watched a movie and I carved pumpkins. {{SIGH}} maybe they'll be more into it in a few more years. Xander wasn't sure about laying in them. Eliza was just plain mad when I laid her in them.

Fall leaves...I miss that and so do our kids. We don't get fall here...well only if you consider temps in the low 80's to be fall weather. I love that they didn't like carving but they sure looked proud of the finished products. You are a great mom.
Good job carving! Great FHE! I admire your ambition!
Good job MJ! Maybe Christopher should've taken a picture of you with the pumpkins, since they were your handiwork. :)
The pumpkins look great! Good job carving them all by yourself!
The leaves pictures are so cute, good thing you took them on Monday, looks like that was your last chance!
LOVE the pumpkins!!
